Uniek overnachten op de GM-26, een oude IJsselmeerkotter

Slapen op de GM-26 een oude IJsselmeerkotter uit 1948 in de oude binnenstad van Den Bosch. Klinkt waanzinnig toch? En dat is het ook. Het is een avontuur dat ik graag met jullie wil delen.

Unieke slaapplek op het water

De vriendelijke eigenaar Vincent staat mij al op te wachten wanneer ik de hippe Tramkade op kom lopen. Vincent begint enthousiast te vertellen over zijn eigen scheepswerf en dat hij deze oude IJsselmeerkotter met liefde heeft weten op te knappen tot wat het nu is. Een unieke slaapplek. Vroeger was dit een vissersboot en werd er gevist op paling en mosselen.

De GM-26 een oude IJsselmeerkotter is inmiddels helemaal omgetoverd en je kunt er nu logeren. Je kunt een dagje meevaren of zelfs meerdere dagen, het is allemaal mogelijk. Vincent vaart je met plezier naar mooie plekken. De boot kan op verschillende locaties in het land worden aangelegd.

Het lijkt Vincent leuk om een klein stukje te varen naar de Brede Haven waar ik de nacht zal doorbrengen op de boot. Het is fantastisch als de GM-26 in beweging komt, een heerlijk pruttelend geluid over het water. Met mijn haren in de wind geniet ik van deze korte maar leuke boottocht.

Het avontuur wacht

De binnenkant van de IJsselmeerkotter is ruimer dan ik in eerste instantie had gedacht. Er is een keuken aanwezig om een lekkere maaltijd te bereiden, er zijn boeken en spelletjes aanwezig en er staat een fijne grote tafel waar je omheen kunt zitten.

De slaapkamer is achter de trap en dit lijkt in eerste instantie klein, maar dat is het absoluut niet. Ik heb hier heerlijk geslapen. Het toilet en de douche bevinden zich op het achterdek, wat een avontuur! Je moet dus wel even naar buiten. Ik vind dit wel wat hebben, je slaapt tenslotte op een boot. De boot is in oceaan-stijl ingericht. Gezelligheid gegarandeerd!

Pittoresk Den Bosch

Na een goede nacht op de GM-26 is het tijd om Den Bosch te ontdekken. Natuurlijk sta ik in de rij voor Bossche bollen van Jan de Groot, je kunt niet naar huis zonder dat je langs deze bakkerij bent geweest. De oude binnenstad is ontzettend gezellig, ik slenter door de pittoreske straatjes en ik stop om de paar meter voor een foto.

De wijk De Uilenburg is namelijk enorm fotogeniek, de rivier de Binnendieze slingert hier vrolijk doorheen. Er zijn talloze restaurants waar het hart van een Bourgondiër sneller van zal gaan kloppen. Ook zijn er hippe boetiekjes en schitterende monumentale panden.

Wil jij je ook mee laten voeren op een oude kotter en overnachten op het water? Bekijk dan snel de mogelijkheden want ik kan mij zomaar voorstellen dat deze unieke slaapplek op de GM-26 best populair zal gaan worden.
